The different levels of pay within our organization are the opposite of what we see in most modern day companies. Usually, the pay scale goes from secretary up to CEO, with the CEO being paid the most. Our non-profit is going to reverse this structure, where the CEO will be paid the least and each group below will be paid more. We believe that we sometimes have things backwards here in the U.S. The people on the front lines— the ones spending many hours teaching our children as well as those risking their lives to help others— are some of the lowest paid individuals when their work should actually be worth so much more.
We seek to present an example where the payscale is flipped— a concept which is stated in our bi-laws
